2008 Kodomo No Hi - Children's Festival
Every year JKA SA participates in the Golden Week Festival, as part of JAFA's celebration of Japanese Culture, here in Adelaide.

Congratulations to our close friend and colleague, Sensei Lloyd Baggott, on his recently acquired rank of 5th Dan.
Sensei Lloyd recently attended at the Spring International Instructor’s Gasshuku, at JKA HQ in Japan, where he was graded to 5th Dan by the Shihankai. Fantastic effort – earned and deserved, ossu!

Also, at the same Gasshuku our close friend, Sensei Mark Willis, the Head of JKA in New Zealand also graded, achieving the rank of 6th Dan.

Farewell to Stine, our Norwegian visitor.
Stine is a student of Sensei Geir Larsen, in Norway. She has been training with us, at our Brighton Dojo, whilst her father has been working in Australia.
We have enjoyed Stine’s involvement at our Dojo, and wish her all the best.
